Ms Flom has represented clients with catastrophic injuries such as limb loss and paralysis and who have serious concerns regarding their future medical care and reduced ability to earn a livelihood. She has also represented families who have lost a loved one to tragic consequences and also face issues of lost financial support and companionship. Flom’s case work ranges form motor vehicle accidents to complex medical malpractice. In response to President Bush’s call for medical malpractice reform, she replied, "The cry for reform is another example of special interest politics. There is no question that so-called 'frivolous' mapractice lawsuits are extremely rare and not the rule as suggested by the President. These cases are simply to expensive to litigate. The insurance industry needs governmental regulation of its underwting practices."
