Wil Fluegel is board certified as a civil trial specialist by both the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Minnesota State Bar Association, and handles trials and appeals in Minnesota and Wisconsin courts.
He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he served as managing editor of the Law Review. He is listed in Law & Leading American Attorneys and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in both trials and appeals as well as one of the top 10 personal injury attorneys in Minnesota by polls in Law & Politics.
He received the MTLA’s "Trial Lawyer of the Year" Award in 1997, and its Award of Excellence for Public Service in 1994. In 2005 he served as its President. He has authored 5 texts and over 120 articles, some of which have been cited by the Minnesota appellate courts.
From 2001-2205 he moderated the "Law School for Legislators" at William Mitchell College of Law, presenting a Civil Justice Symposium to state House and Senate members and their staffs.
He has also served as a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court No-Fault Arbitration Standing Committee since 1999 and served from 1998-2005 on the state’s Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.
