ACTLM Members Donate $5,000.00 to the Minnesota State High School Mock Trial Program

The Academy of Certified Trial Lawyers of Minnesota for 2012-13 committed as part of its scholarship, membership and public relations committees to sponsor the Minnesota mock trial program that is run by the Minnesota State Bar Association. Through your generous contributions, ACTLM was able to commit the amount of $5,000.00 to the MSBA for distribution to schools participating in the program. Four $750 scholarships were awarded on the basis of need as determined by the State Bar Mock Trial Committee. In addition, $2,000.00 was awarded to the prevailing team to assist in deferment of costs associated with the national tournament. For 2013, Nova Classical Academy was the selected team and will advance to the national tournament in Indianapolis in May 2013.

The appreciation was heartfelt and expressed over and over by students, their parents, teachers, coaches and Minnesota trial court judges thanking the members of ACTLM.
