STELLPFLUG LAW PLLC LAUNCHES IN MINNEAPOLIS

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – (July 1, 2020) – Janet G. Stellpflug, a veteran of the Minneapolis legal scene, has founded a new boutique commercial litigation firm, Stellpflug Law PLLC, focusing primarily on construction and product liability defense.

After decades of practice at larger, established law firms, Stellpflug founded her firm to provide the extensive experience clients are accustomed to, but with outstanding service and efficiencies that were difficult to balance in a larger firm setting. “The relationships and partnerships developed with my clients over the years are critical to our mutual success”, she said. “I wanted to focus on bringing the best that a large firm can offer within a lean and efficient wrapper.”

Stellpflug’s substantial civil trial and arbitration experience includes serving as first chair for more than 30 jury trials in state and federal court in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She works with a wide variety of clients, including large construction companies, international manufacturers, high-profile non-profits and small businesses. She holds the designations of Barrister, Amdahl Inn of Court, and Civil Trial Law Specialist certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Joining Stellpflug as a Partner in the venture is Minneapolis attorney John F. Thomas, a litigator representing large construction and pest-control companies, international manufacturers, and other corporations and insurance companies.

Growth Trajectory and Pandemic Response

While additional attorneys are expected to join the team in the near future, Stellpflug plans limited, measured growth. “My vision is small and tightly-knit – a true boutique powerhouse to best partner with our clientele,” she says. While starting a new venture in the midst of a pandemic has certainly brought challenges, Stellpflug experienced more inconvenience rather than roadblocks, noting a healthy client base of primarily essential businesses and a workforce that has become more accustomed to offsite work and online meetings. The firm is positioned to take full advantage of its cloud-based, scalable technology infrastructure, which includes AI for document management, data analytics and reporting, and collaborative work environments including intranets and client portals.  Noting a backlog of litigation that has been in a holding pattern, Stellpflug is confident her team is properly postured for the rush when the courts fully open.

Stellpflug Law PLLC offices are located at 920 Second Avenue South, Suite 1545, Minneapolis, MN 55402. In keeping with best practices during COVID-19, the firm has implemented remote work guidelines, on-site social distancing and sanitation measures, and conducts client meetings via teleconference as appropriate.
